Physical activity is such an important part of maintaining a child's well being and emotional stability and we are honored to be able to utilize the technology available to us and be able to continue to provide an outlet for our students to continue to dance.

Starstruck Dance Academy Health & Safety Protocols

We are pleased to welcome students back to in-person classes here at the studio. Our staff has been working diligently to implement health procedures and guidelines based on the State of New Jersey Guidelines and CDC recommendations.

We are closely monitoring policy changes and public health organizations and will continue to make changes, as necessary. The plan below, coupled with personal responsibility, presents our best efforts to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe. (Updated As of 7/10/2020)

FLU LIKE SYMPTONS

Any student, faculty, staff or parent that has flu-like symptoms, any symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 10 days, or have had any close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have traveled outside of NJ in the past 14 days we ask that you please not attend class or enter the studio.

LIMITING DANCER CAPACITY

Per State of New Jersey Guidelines, our class size limits will be set by allowing for at least 8-10 feet of distance between students at all times. Each student will have an assigned square and/or a spot on the floor and at the barre which will help to give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing.

All faculty, staff, and dancers over the age of 2 are required to wear a face-covering or mask at all times.   If your dancer is not feeling well, please do not send them to the studio.  Dancers with a temp of 100+ will not be permitted in the building.

STUDIO CLEANLINESS & SANITATION

Following the CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting, each studio room will be cleaned and dance equipment and props will be disinfected between each use. The Family Center has installed high-intensity UVC germicidal lamps to our HVAC system. These lamps are used to kill and deactivate germs, molds, and viruses. All cleaning materials are EPA-approved disinfectants against COVID-19 per CDC guidelines.

WAITING ROOM

New Jersey Safe Reopening guidelines recommend that our waiting room be closed to limit the amount of people in our facility. However, in the case of a dancer who would feel more comfortable, one parent (wearing a face covering/mask) may accompany their child and maintain social distancing while waiting in our lobby.
